Larry, I still remember our first conversation when I was new to PG&E and considering joining the NSBE board. You made me feel welcome and valued from day one. I knew serving alongside you in leadership would be special and it truly was. Thank you for always showing up, for your steady encouragement, and for the way you celebrate others. That spirit has shaped how I lead and how I show up for people. I’m excited for your next chapter. May it be full of wins to celebrate, new adventures, and a deep sense of contentment. I’ll be cheering you on, always.

Larry, It has truly been an absolute pleasure to know and work with you on the NSBE board over the years. Your energy is infectious, and you’ve always been such a joy to be around. I had a great run stepping into the NSBE VP role after you, and I deeply appreciate all the insight and support you’ve shared along the way. As you start this next chapter, remember: “Change is inevitable... except from a vending machine.” Wishing you nothing but success and happiness, I know it will be amazing! Enjoy these throwback photos!!

Bringing the Management Leadership Program (MLT) to PG&E as the first Utility in the nation to adopt this Hi-Po program was a whole experience. From the first moment that you shared the concept in the lobby of 77 Beale with me, you had a ride or die with you to bring it to reality. You know the journey and the sacrifice that went into it !! These photos signify the joy of achieving something significant and what a labor of love it was. I enjoyed working in lock step with you as a strategic partner and friend. What a way to memorialize this knowing that our images remained on display at 245 Market from the time of the Diversity Champion event in 2019, through a multi-year pandemic, and the eventual sale of SFGO in 2022, this is one crowning achievement that will endure in our professional history books. As for your journey into your next chapter, this is not true retirement. It is simply a shift and pivot into your next season to script it as you see fit. It is my prayer that you do more of the things that you enjoy in life, be it mentorship, community, travel, or other pursuits (huuummm Stanford Sports Management reboot??) etc. it doesn't end, it only evolves. Enjoy your next chapter and its pursuits to the fullest!! You have absolutely put in the work and now it's time to reap the fruit of your labor in the ways that enrich your life and honor your heart & spirit.

To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to write on Larry Doleman's behalf. I have served as the Executive Sponsor for the NSBE Network and have come to know him quite well over the past 7 years that I have supported this Employee Resource Group (ERG). Larry is the sitting Vice President for NSBE and has held the Communications Coordinator post; I have observed his work ethic, responsiveness, and strategic vision where he looks for and maximizes opportunities to generate exposure for his organization and the company at large. Larry understands the big picture when making decisions to lead the NSBE Network and take the organization to the next level. In all of his roles with PG&E and especially with the NSBE Network, Larry has exemplified his commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, as well as, his ability to anticipate future trends for improving and contributing to PG&E's strategic vision to remain viable and competitive in the market. Under Larry's guidance, the NSBE Network successfully created the business plan to introduce our Talent & Inclusion organization to the Management Leadership for Tomorrow's (MLT) program. This high-potential leadership program satisfied a gap in the leadership development matrix to serve and support high performing African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans in the Manager, Sr. Manager, and Director positions. With the agreement of PG&E's Chief Diversity Officer, the company readily adopted this program, has sponsored multiple cohorts, and has realized strong ROI showing through the promotion of several leaders into the Director ranks. As a result of this business impact, Larry was honored as a recipient of the Presidents Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award presented by PG&E's CEO Bill Johnson. Larry is currently leading an effort to look ahead and change an aspect of PG&E's business model as it relates to revenue generation. He has assembled a team to assess the viability of capturing non-traditional sources of revenue within PG&E's service arena. This bold new concept and approach exhibits great promise for enabling PG&E to strengthen market position for future service offerings, and the exploration of this venture is supported by PG&E's Vice President of Regulatory and External Affairs to move forward with the assessment. Larry is a personable, accessible, and discerning Manager. He is a consummate professional and is highly regarded among his peers and Sr. Leadership. Larry values the concept of teamwork and highly resects the values of others particularly when making decisions that are critical to department and corporate success. For as long as I've known Larry, he has always gone above and beyond to get the job done. I highly recommend Larry for the role of Sr. Director Major Programs and Project Delivery and believe that he has the acumen, drive, and experience to lead in the organization. Please feel free to reach out to me to further discuss my observations and perspective related to his consideration for this opportunity.
